"Estonian soldiers serving in Iraq have a common complaint: No one knows where they're from. Many American troops have never even heard of Estonia and think it's a mythical country. Iraqis aren't familiar with the country either. One Estonian captain, quoted in the UK Guardian, has simply given up. Now, he says, "I tell them I'm from the moon." Estonian bomb-sniffing dogs, on the other hand, are especially popular with the US military in Afghanistan; in the past the US government has specifically requested their deployment."
